Deep in its $91.1 billion spending plan for 2019-20, the Florida Legislature has allocated $970,000 for Tallahassee entrepreneur Ed Mansouri, founder of Weatherstem, to work with the Division of Emergency Management to install solar-powered cellular micro-weather stations in remote locations throughout the state to gather and report hyperlocal data in real time, 24 hours a day.
