The Florida Department of Transportation and the Suwannee County Sheriff’s Office — Division of Emergency Management should be better informed of dangerous weather moving forward.
Both agencies celebrated the installation of the first WeatherStem system on Interstate 10 in Suwannee County recently, according to an FDOT release. The system is designed to “promote enhanced emergency management operations” and monitor real-time weather conditions for the corridor.
